Police are appealing for help after a stolen motorbike was recovered in Sheffield.

Sheffield South East Local Policing Team recovered the Honda Varadero bike from Linley Lane, Woodhouse last night.

The bike was displaying false plates that were stolen from Weakland Crescent yesterday morning.

The bike was seen in the Youlgreave Drive area at around 11am yesterday, being pushed by a male, aged approximately 15 to 17 and wearing a white helmet.

A spokesman for SSE LPT said: "Does anyone have CCTV for Weakland Crescent or Youlgreave Drive areas which may have captured this male or anyone acting suspiciously?

"Did anyone see this male or the bike? From a security point of view, please remember it's not just cars and vans that are targeted but bikes as well. Please take the necessary steps to secure your vehicle at all times."

Anyone who can help should contact South Yorkshire Police on 101.
