Police are seeking two men who tried to grab a woman’s rucksack at Rotherham railway station.
Officers from British Transport Police are investigating the attempted robbery and have issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
A woman was walking past the railway station ticket office at around 9.25am on Friday, September 26, when she was approached by two men.
PC Emma Williamson, who is investigating the incident, said: “Two men attempted to grab a rucksack from the woman, who held onto her bag. “The men then ran off towards the town centre without the bag.
“If anyone recognises this man, we urge them to come forward as we believe he has vital information about the incident.”
The man police would like to speak to is black and is wearing a baseball cap and a blue jacket.
