Poem inspired by diversion

Have your say

I have written a poem inspired by the hot weather.

A sunny glade ’mong summer haze

Tree trunks young sheltering doves

Their shadows muse meadows confuse

Lined with steps and places to rest

And windswept clocks fritter in locks

Of plaits and yearns t’ward the yard arm

Crinkle leaves grow on reflective trees

Of daisy dens wide to love the sky tide

I wrote it about the section of path between Duke Street and the tram bridge from town Because of works on South Street bridge the way to town for me was diverted along this path.
