PEAK District Green Lanes Alliance members are ‘urging everyone who cares about the national park’ to give their views about plans to ban motorbikes and 4x4s from two bridleways.

The authority is holding a public consultation, which ends on November 2, about plans to prohibit motor vehicles from Long Causeway, which links Redmires with Hathersage via Stanage Edge.

Patricia Stubbs, chairman of the Peak District Green Lanes Alliance, said: “We are asking everyone who cares about the national park to support the efforts to restore peace and tranquillity to the Stanage Edge area.”
