OPPOSITION councillors plan to put new pressure on Sheffield’s ruling Labour group over the fate of three dementia homes.
At Sheffield Council’s budget meeting, Labour said the sites at Hurfield View, Bole Hill View, and Norbury are under review.
Lib Dems are putting forward a motion at Wednesday’s full council meeting urging the council to rule out closure.
Coun Shaffaq Mohammed, leader of the Lib Dem group on the council, said: “We’re concerned about the potential closure of these centres.
“The needs of people who suffer from dementia should be the first priority for any decisions that are made. The review has caused great distress for users of the centres.”
