A stretch of the Porter Brook river is being rejuvenated by Sheffield Council to make way for a new pocket park to be built over a temporary car park.
The site is at the junction of Matilda Street and Sidney Street in the Cultural Industries Quarter.
Sheffield Council has teamed up with the Environment Agency to improve the section of Porter Brook that runs through the car park - currently filled with old concrete from the river bank and other debris.
The pocket park will slope down to the river’s edge, so people can sit there.
There could also be a new riverside walk, which will run from the Station to St Mary’s Gate.
