Plans have been submitted for a 17-storey student accommodation tower in Sheffield.

The firm iQ Student Accommodation (iQSA), which owns four other accommodation developments in Sheffield, wants to build the new tower on a car park in St George’s Close, Nertherthorpe, close to University of Sheffield buildings.

The £15 million development, which would overlook Netherthorpe Road, would offer 257 bedrooms within 106 units of accommodation.

A mix of three, four and five bedroom apartments; four and six bedroom cluster flats and single en-suite studios would be available.
