Piece by piece, it's a dress rehearsal to back ethical trading

THIS dress is sure to turn heads...

At 40ft high, made from more than 2,000 individual pieces of fabric, it's the largest in the world!

The huge item of clothing was unveiled in Endcliffe Park by Sheffield Mayor Coun Arthur Dunworth for a festival encouraging people to buy ethical clothing, which does not involve exploitation of third-world workers.

The multi-coloured dress is being used as a marquee during the event, which runs until Monday and has been organised by Christian charity Speak, which campaigns on global human rights issues.

There will be displays of art, music concerts, comedy shows, debates and an ethical market.

Festival-goers will also be encouraged to contribute to a large piece of art work, which will be unveiled at the end of the festival on Monday.

Speak's campaign has been supported by the late Anita Roddick, former owner of ethical cosmetics chain Body Shop, and Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams.
