A drive-off petrol thief has been banned from driving for four months as part of the punishment meted out by a Doncaster court.
Paul Anthony Stalgis, aged 26, of East Gate, Moorends, admitted two offences of making off without payment for a total of £85 worth of fuel on two days in October.
Doncaster District Judge Jonathan Bennett also imposed a one month curfew from 8pm to 6am and told him he could go no further than his back door for a cigarette at night.
Stalgis, unemployed, who has no similar convictions, must also pay £85 costs and £85 compensation.
The court heard he was identified by a CCTV still from the petrol station forecourt.
