A PENSIONER who has been raising money for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice in North Anston for the last six years raised £6,667 last year.
Brenda Thompson, aged 71, from Carlton in Lindrick, runs a market stall in the town every Friday and Saturday to raise cash for the hospice.
All the money raised go towards providing care and support to children and young adults with a shortened life expectancy.
Brenda said: “I absolutely love doing charity work and to be able to support such an amazing cause that is local is very important to me.”
Heidi Megaughin, acting chief of Bluebell Wood, said: “Brenda has the kindest heart and the amount of time she dedicates to supporting us is so gratifying.”
