A pedestrian was struck by a car being tracked by a police vehicle in Sheffield.
South Yorkshire Police said a 19-year-old woman was struck by a Ford Focus which mounted a pavement on Winter Street, Crookesmoor, at 11.15am on Friday, October 30.
The car was being followed by police at the time, for failing to stop when requested to pull over.
Police said the pedestrian escaped with bruising.
A 22-year-old Sheffield man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failure to stop.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “An officer began to pursue a white Ford Focus along Winter Street after it failed to stop for police.
“During the pursuit the driver of the Ford Focus collided with a kerb and consequently a pedestrian.”
