A pedestrian is in hospital with life threatening injuries following a collision with a cyclist in South Yorkshire.
The 37-year-old was struck by a bike travelling along Barnsley Road, Cudworth, Barnsley, at 6.05pm on Monday.
Police said the cyclist involved escaped unharmed.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is underway.
A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “It is believed that the bicycle was in collision with a 37-year-old male pedestrian.
“The cyclist, a 20-year-old man, was not injured.
“The pedestrian was taken to hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries.
“Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision.”
