Pedestrian hit by car crossing road in Barnsley

A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after he was hit by a car while crossing a road in Barnsley.

The 44-year-old was struck by a yellow Seat Ibiza while crossing Harborough Hill Road.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment to serious leg injuries.

The driver of the Seat was interviewed by officers who are continuing their investigation into the collision.

Anyone who saw the collision, on Tuesday, October 21, at about 7.20pm, is asked to call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 935 of October 21, 2014.
