The Tour De France has geared people up to hop in the saddle and take part in a South Yorkshire sponsored cycle.

Places are filling up fast for the Park 2 Park sponsored 35k bike ride, which raises money for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

The event on September 7 will start at 8.45am in the Rother Valley Country Park near the North Lake. After two-and-a-half laps of the lakes, riders will then join the Trans Pennine Trail and cycle to Poolsbrook Country Park in Staveley. After completing one lap of the lake in Poolsbrook, cyclists will then head back to Rother Valley Country Park.

Participants will be rewarded at the finish with a free barbecue and will receive a medal and certificate.

Tickets cost £12 for adults and £6 for under-16s.
