WORKERS at a Sheffield building firm pushed themselves to the limit on a fundraising challenge to help three local charities.

Staff from Sheffield Council’s maintenance contractor, Kier, got on their bikes and pedalled from John O’Groats to Land’s End.

The mega trip took the team nine days to complete.

The team of 11 men and one woman who took part raised £10,102 by collecting sponsorship from colleagues, friends and family members.

They also set up a website to receive online donations.

Representatives of Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, Sheffield Autistic Society and the Motor Neurone Disease Association were all invited to the company’s base on Manor Lane.

They met the fundraising team and were delighted to be presented with an equal share of the money raised.
