A series of events allowing people to see red deer at close quarters is to take place in the Peak District.
The National Trust and RSPB have arranged events on the Eastern Moors to coincide with the annual red deer rutting season.
A Red Deer at Dusk event will take place on October 9, a red deer ‘bolving’ competition - the noise stags make when trying to attract a mate - will be held on October 11, and a red deer watch event will be held on October 18.
Katherine Clarke, Visitor Services Manager for the Eastern Moors Partnership, said: “The deer rut is a time where the deer are possibly at their most visible and we want to give people an opportunity to view them at their finest.”
Booking is required for all events. Email firstname.lastname@example.org
