PUTTING up the Christmas decorations can be a long job – but one which most of us look forward to each year.
Sheffield artist Paul Staveley is no different – even though he has been trimming up for five months already.
The 50-year-old, of Manvers Road, Beighton, has been working on Christmas designs to bring a splash of seasonal colour to River Island stores all around the country.
The former Carter Lodge School pupil said: “I have been working on the hand painted Christmas designs since June and I love it.
“I created most of the designs at the mock shop at River Island’s head office Chelsea House, in London.
“Now they are being put in a run of 18 shops including stores in London, Manchester, Cardiff, Dublin and Amsterdam.”
