Paul Blomfield will walk for homeless

Paul Blomfield MP will be pulling his walking shoes on this month for local homeless charity, the Cathedral Archer Project.

The Archer Project is hosting a sponsored five-mile walk on October 15 called ‘Walk In My Shoes’ - and the MP has urged residents to take part.

“I’m delighted to be walking with my team of staff to raise money for the incredible Cathedral Archer Project,” said Mr Blomfield.

“I’ve done a lot of work with the Project over the years and I know that every penny raised will go towards invaluable work supporting people and helping them out of homelessness. Those who are homeless tell of the long time they spend walking every day, so it’s a great idea for the Archer Project to reflect this in an initiative that aims to capture public attention and raise lots of money to help the Project team continue transforming lives.”

The Archer Project helps homeless adults achieve a better life, providing crisis support such as access to a nurse and dentist, showers, laundry and hot meals.

The walk starts in Endcliffe Park at 11am.
