Sheffield Council’s partnership with a repairs and maintenance firm is up for awards.
The combined work of the local authority and Kier Sheffield has been shortlisted in this year’s Celebrating Construction in South Yorkshire awards.
They have received nominations in the health and safety, corporate responsibility and training categories. It comes following Kier’s eighth consecutive gold from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.
Kier Sheffield’s apprentices have also been honoured, winning the JTL South Yorkshire apprentice of the year.
Phil Oades, Kier operations director, said: “We are extremely proud to be shortlisted for yet another award.
“Our long list of award wins across every category shows we are at the forefront of maintenance providers. We pride ourselves on providing a gold service to everyone from our customers to our employees, apprentices and the environment.”
Kier Sheffield is responsible for repairs and maintenance to housing, schools and public buildings managed by Sheffield Council.
