COUNCILLORS have received a plea for road safety measures near a Sheffield school.
Some 26 people from Fulwood had added their signatures to the petition requesting parking restrictions on Hallam Grange Croft, close to Hallam Grange Primary School.
The petition was handed to a meeting of Sheffield Council’s cabinet highways committee by Vonny Watts, Tory candidate for the area at the May council elections.
She said: “We are calling for yellow lines around a blind bend and at the head of Hallam Grange Croft.
“Officers agreed to consider this further as a possibility along with with formalising an informal one way system which operates at peak times.
“The majority of households in Hallam Grange Croft signed the petition.”
