THREE Rotherham NHS staff were given an early Christmas present as reward for their hard work.
The trio was selected after Asda Living invited the NHS trust to nominate colleagues deserving of a special treat.
After a champagne reception at Asda’s Parkgate store, the girls had their make-up done then picked out frocks and accessories.
Susan Seddon of the speech and language therapy department was nominated for being an inspirational person.
Despite a difficult 12 months she has worked with enthusiasm and her colleagues said her kind and caring nature helped her get the best out of patients.
Susan said: “I feel wonderful, I feel like a star and it’s been a really special day. It’s lovely to feel so appreciated.”
Helen Levers, an infection prevention and control nurse was nominated for balancing her work life with caring for her husband who was seriously injured in an accident three years ago.
And Irene Wright, deputy dermatology manager was put forward for going beyond the call of duty to ensure that the department runs smoothly.
Chief nurse, Juliette Greenwood, said: “The winners have gone over and above and shown great dedication balancing work and challenges at home.”
Asda manager Stephen Davies said: “There’s no doubt they are more than deserving of a bit of pampering time and I hope they’ve enjoyed it.”
