PADDOCK land in a South Yorkshire village is to be built upon after planning permission was given for 24 new homes.
Rotherham Council approved outline consent for the scheme in Wickersley.
The plans have been changed so two cul-de-sacs are built rather than a single through-road, after concerns it might become a rat run.
Some residents had complained the new properties might have a negative impact on surrounding homes.
But the council said the proposals were ‘satisfactory’.
