Over 600 runners join in the Grindleford Gallop - PICTURES
ON your marks, get set...go!
More than 600 runners and walkers headed for the Peak District to take part in the 13th annual Grindleford Gallop.
The fundraiser is organised each year to raise money for Grindleford Primary School.
The 21-mile course takes in a number of villages including Grindleford, Froggatt and Eyam.
This year's winner was Andy Pead, from the Goyt Valley Striders, who completed the gallop in two hours 24 minutes.
Residents baked 2,000 pieces of flapjack, cakes and biscuits to feed competitors, while volunteers staffed checkpoints and handled registration.
The Sir William pub made soup, served on the finishing line, and school pupils designed a T-shirt for the day, which was sponsored by Outside, the outdoor equipment specialist.
