A festival full of outdoor sports is set to take place in Sheffield this summer.
The Cliffhanger festival will include cycling, climbing and bike polo and a duck race among the events on offer in Millhouses Park on June 21 and 22.
Climbers will also be able to take part in the Senior British Bouldering Championships at the Climbing Works, based 10 minutes away at Woodseats Road.
Entertainment at Millhouses Park will include kite flying, a mountain bike display, tennis and a ropes activity course. There will also be a wine tent and beer on offer alongside smoothies.
Paul Billington, director of culture and environment at Sheffield Council, said: “This event caters for the outdoor enthusiast through to families and friends simply wanting a great day out in one of Sheffield’s best parks.
“There are loads of things to do and activities to try or simply come and watch other people having a go. Cliffhanger brings the great outdoors within easy reach of everyone and we’re hoping to see a huge number of people.”
