A BREAST cancer charity is set to receive a cash boost thanks to a Sheffield optician.

Staff at Specsavers, Crystal Peaks, are swapping their usual work attire for a perfect pink wardrobe to raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer on Thursday and Friday.

Employees will donate £1 for every pink item of clothing they wear to work and will be holding a cake sale with customers being invited to boost the appeal with donations.

Gil Vasey, director of Specsavers at Crystal Peaks, said: “The staff are showing what a community-focused practice we are.

“We hold a number of fundraising events each year and are regular supporters of Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

“It will be great atmosphere in the store next week and we are lucky to have brilliant customers who support our fund raising activities.

“It’s a charity we feel passionately about.”
