Councillors will decide whether to allow a new Tesco convenience store to sell alcohol at a meeting next Tuesday.

The firm has applied for a premises licence for the shop on Sharrow Lane, on the former St Johns Church site.

More then 30 protesters have signed a petition opposing the application, while five residents have also lodged individual objections. Sheffield Central ward councillor Jane Smalley also objects.
