Today’s Star features 300 job vacancies all requiringthe right person to fill them.
It is a good sign that so many positions are being advertised. It demonstrates that business is coming to the area and companies have confidence with the workforce of South Yorkshire.
Thursday has traditionally been a busy jobs day in The Star and so we’re delighted to be able to fill that section with so many different opportunities for our readers.
There is more good news in today’s paper on the job front too.
A Sheffield call centre company is creating 200 jobs after winning a fistful of contracts – and says more people will be needed soon. An extra 200 posts will be created at Voice, which will take staff numbers to 800.
And in Rotherham a South Korean boiler maker, which is targeting Europe, will bring its first factory to the town creating 100 jobs.
KD Navien is also set to launch training centres in 2017 and a research and development facility in Sheffield City Region.
Today’s workforce is becoming increasingly flexible. It is important that we continue to take the opportunities given to us by firms expanding and coming into our region.
