GREEN-FINGERED villagers are opening their gardens to the public for charity.
Residents of Coal Aston near Sheffield have organised the open garden event, which takes place on Sunday, July 15.
Ten households have signed up to take part in the event to raise money for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice at North Anston.
The green spaces will be open for visitors between 1pm and 5pm. Admission is £3.50 and programmes are available from Steels in Chesterfield Road and David J Fruits, Barnard Avenue, both in Coal Aston. They will also be available from Coal Aston Methodist Church.
Lunch will be served from noon until 1.30pm at the church on the day.
