A SHEFFIELD charity has received a £700 boost after a couple opened their garden to the public for a day.

Alistair and Tricia Fraser, of Hallam Grange Croft, Fulwood, opened their impressive plantsman’s garden to the public for the first time, to raise money for Sheffield Carers Centre.

Lord Mayor Coun Sylvia Dunkley, who attended, said: “The garden was beautiful, we were lucky with the weather and all the proceeds of the day went to a charity that does a great deal of good work for the community.”
