Animal lovers are to hold an anniversary vigil in memory of a dog which was stolen, tortured, killed and set on fire in Sheffield.
The gathering today will take place off Manor Laithes Road, Skye Edge, where Staffordshire terrier Issac’s body was found last February.
Local residents, dog lovers and Issac’s owner Andy Macnamara will all meet at the spot at 1pm.
They will be remembering Issac and raising awareness of their petition to increase penalities for those convicted of animal cruelty offences.
The trusting pet died after he was stolen from a house in Arbourthorne and brutally killed, causing outrage across the city and beyond.
A man was arrested at the time, but this month police revealed nobody is to be charged.
