DONCASTER’S One Direction star Louis Tomlinson entered into the Comic Relief spirit - by dying his hair RED.

The boy band singing sensation gave his luscious locks a brand new hue as part of the Friday night fundraising extravaganza.

Bessacarr’s Louis coloured his hair for the band’s performance of number one single One Way Or Another (Teenage Kicks) on the BBC1 telethon in front of hundreds of screaming fans after being encouraged on Twitter.

The song, the official Red Nose Day single, has climbed the charts again following the band’s performance on the show.

The band were also seen in tears after visiting a children’s hospital in Ghana as part of the show, which rasied a record breaking £75 million for Comic Relief.

It completed a whirlwind week for Louis and his band-mates following news that the UK’s first One Direction shop is to open in Leeds next week while Madame Tussauds are set to unveil waxworks of the fab five in April.
