One Direction star Louis Tomlinson is to swap music arenas for a football stadium – when he ditches his band mates for new team mates and makes his debut for Doncaster Rovers.
Louis, aged 22, from Bessacar, is to don his Rovers shirt for the first time in a South Yorkshire derby against Rotherham United on February 26.
He will line up for Doncaster as part of the Final Third Development League reserves fixture at the Keepmoat Stadium.
The match is being played in aid of Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
Gavin Baldwin, Chief Executive of Doncaster Rovers, said: “We are pleased to now have a date for Louis’ debut and are looking forward to seeing him against our neighbours. We are expecting huge interest in this game with fans from all over the world set to visit the Keepmoat Stadium for this unique occasion.”
