Aldi will officially open its sixth store in Sheffield tomorrow.
Olympic star Dan Goodfellow will help open the new store on Drakehouse Way, at Crystal Peaks, tomorrow at 8am.
The supermarket is part of a new retail park in Sheffield, including a new Costa Coffee, Home Bargains and Frankie & Benny's, including 175 free car parking spaces.
The store has created 22 new jobs for the community and store manager, Nicola Drabble, said she was looking forward to the opening.
She said: "The new Drakehouse store will improve the shopping experience for customers in Sheffield, meaning more households will benefit from Aldi’s affordable prices, without compromising on quality.
"The team and I are really looking forward to welcoming customers and it will be great to have an Olympic hero to help us celebrate.”
Dan Goodfellow who won bronze in the men's synchronised 10m platform at Rio 2016 alongside diving partner Tom Daley.
He said: "As an athlete, I appreciate how important it is to eat fresh, high quality and healthy produce.
"The range on offer at Aldi, allows customers to benefit from excellent quality at reasonable prices.”
Last week, Aldi announced that it would be closing its Meadowhall Retail Park store on April 30 as a result of the Drakehouse Way store's opening.
An Aldi spokesperson confirmed that all staff would at the Meadowhall site would be transferred over to the new store.
