Obnoxious name-calling

Have your say

In her column of June 20, Monica refers to letters published in the Star, that include David Cameron and George Osbourne being called toffs, posh Dave and nasty party, Monica rather kindly says that these disparaging names are used tongue in cheek.

In point of fact they don’t come across as such and indeed are not meant to do so. Rather they are the Left and its supporters being their usual obnoxious selves.

Thankfully the electorate have never bought into this “us versus the toffs mantra” and that is one reason why Labour lost in the recent General Election.
