A PENSIONER was badly injured when another car ploughed into the back of his vehicle in a slow-moving traffic jam near Doncaster.
The busy West Moor Link Road at Armthorpe was closed for two hours after the collision last Friday.
Three vehicles were involved in the crash on the road, heading away from the M18 and towards the roundabout where the carriageway joins Hatfield and Mere lanes.
A police spokesman said it appeared a Mercedes CLK had failed to slow down in traffic, and crashed into the back of an Audi A4 which then went into the back of a Vauxhall Corsa. The 71-year-old male driver of the Audi was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
