BOSSES at a Doncaster nursery have paid tribute to a former member of staff who died after plunging from the roof of a South Yorkshire shopping centre.

Amy Clark was a well known worker at Little Learner’s day nursery run by Doncaster Deaf Trust, on Leger Way.

The 21-year old worker was there for a year before leaving the post in 2011, and was popular with the youngsters who used the facility.

Her shocked former boss, Alan Robinson, executive principal of Doncaster Deaf Trust, paid tribute to Amy.

He said: “This is very sad news and Amy’s former colleagues have all been made aware of her death.

“Amy was a very well-liked member of the team who had good relationships with her colleagues, the parents and carers and, most importantly, the children who attend our nursery.”

Amy, from Bolton-on-Dearne, died after she fell from the roof of the Alhambra Centre in Barnsley, last weekend.

She was a former pupil of Wath Comprensive and an ex-student at Dearne Valley College.

Her brother, 17-year-old Owen Clark, said Amy liked to care and nurture others.

She had run fundraising events in the past for the Make A Wish Foundation, which raises money to make poorly children’s dreams come true.
