Nurse denies theft charges

A NURSE at Doncaster Royal Infirmary has denied stealing from patients.

Nina Joy Moran, aged 28, made her first appearance at Doncaster Magistrates’ Court yesterday on five charges of theft from a person, but District Judge Jonathan Bennett declined to deal with the case in the lower court.

He adjourned the case for six weeks to allow the prosecution to prepare a file for committal to Sheffield Crown Court.

Moran, of Park Drive, Campsall, faces five allegations of stealing about £400 from five female patients on Ward 26 in October and November 2011, and pleaded not guilty.

She was granted unconditional bail until her next appearance on April 26.
