NUM banners to go on show
A COLLECTION of NUM banners is to be put on display in South Yorkshire to mark the 25th anniversary of the miners' strike.
The colliery banners from across the UK will be on show at the Civic, Hanson Street, Barnsley, on Saturday from 11am to 4pm.
It is the first time the collection from pits across the UK has been brought together.
A new banner has also been created by school pupils, and will be displayed alongside the NUM banners.
