I hope Rachael Clegg’s calendar sells like hot cakes in both England and Germany.
The article, (Telegraph, October 22, 2015), took my attention, not only because of her April pose, but because I went round the famous Nuerburgring motorcycle circuit in 1970... in an old tourist bus at 25 mph!
In those far off days the British Iron & Steel Federation organised an annual exchange visit with the Verein Deutsche Eisenhuettenleute, (mainly Don Valley and Midland lads exchanging with lads from the Ruhrgebiet).
We were lucky enough to see round some of the giant firms of the Ruhr: Mannesmann, Thyssen and Hoesch and it was on one these outings that the coach driver drove us round the famous undulating, forested Ring, as a treat. A bit alarming since at any time we expected a speeding bike or car to crash into the back of the coach, as we trundled along, admiring the scenery.
