RESIDENTS are being asked to nominate councillors who go the extra mile.
The national Councillor Achievement Awards, run by the Local Government Information Unit, are now in their third year and anybody can put a councillor forward.
There will be a total of 11 different awards on offer at the 2012 ceremony.
They include Community Champion of the Year, Young Councillor of the Year and Leader of the Year.
The closing date is set for Friday, December 30 this year and the ceremony is due to be held in late February next year.
