BARRATT Homes has been forced to submit a planning application for improved sound-proofing at a housing estate in Sheffield.
The company has already built flats and three and four-bedroom homes at The Gateway, Quarry Road, Handsworth.
But Les Sturch, director of development services at Sheffield Council, said: “Currently, sound insulation measures inside the flats are not limiting noise from outside as much as they should.
“The developers are working to address this and have submitted two further planning applications.”
