Residents at Sheffield city centre flats West One have objected to a bid to allow bars and restaurants to open longer.
Owners, Devonshire Green Holdings, have applied to Sheffield Council to make a temporary limit of 1.30am at weekends and 1am on Thursdays - which was trialled a year ago - permanent.
They say it is needed to compete with other nearby venues.
But 31 residents have objected on the grounds that it will cause extra noise and litter.
One said: “It is affecting our daily life and it won’t be long until our health starts to suffer and we are forced to move out of our own home.”
Devonshire Green Holdings says that is ‘at odds’ with acoustic, CCTV and other records. A decision is expected next month.
