I WAS waiting for the NHS shuttle bus on Penistone Road when I saw a No 66 First bus with a severely disabled man trying to run by the side of it, waving his stick to make sure he caught it. The driver let a passenger off then started to pull away with doors still open.
I shouted to him to wait but he ignored me. All the passengers saw what was happening.
I was appalled for the man but he just took it calmly and said he was used to it.
He had been involved in a car accident which left him with a prosthetic kneecap, metal plate in his head and chin and had been in a coma for three months.
What is the world coming to? Is there no compassion?
