Deputy Prime Minister and Sheffield Hallam MP Nick Clegg has admitted he feels bad about the Lib Dem u-turn over tuition fees but said he won’t lose his seat in the upcoming elections.

Mr Clegg appeared on Channel 4’s The Last Leg show tonight, a live comedy show which discusses current affairs.

Co-host Alex Brooker interviewed the Lib Deam party leader live.

Mr Brooker asked: “On a scale of 1-10, how bad do you feel about tuition fees?”

Mr Clegg replied: “I’m not Prime Minister. I can’t do everything I want.” He then added “Nine and a half.”

He was then asked “How many times in the last five years have you wanted to give (Prime Minister) David Cameron a slap?”

“A few times,” said Mr Clegg.

Mr Brooker then asked: “If you do lose your seat...”

“I won’t,” interjected Mr Clegg, who then said: “Watch more Arsenal games.”

The show is repeated on Channel 4+1 and on Channel 4 On Demand.
