Worlds of magic

WESTON Park, Sheffield, is to host a family-friendly talk on Thursday, from 1pm, called Magic Worlds for Families, looking at how the Cinderella story is told in different cultures. It will be followed by storytelling, creative writing and a craft workshop.

Chapel set for fete

UPPER Chapel, Norfolk Street, Sheffield city centre, is holding a summer fete on Saturday, from 11am to 3pm. Proceeds will support W-O-R-K, a charity which supports people with learning difficulties.

Crews tackle spill

SPILT oil from a domestic tank needed to be cleaned up firefighters at a house near Sheffield - a crew was called to Main Road, Renishaw, on Saturday, just before 7.55pm.

Anniversary tree

THE Caledonian Society of Sheffield hopes to plant a tree in the city’s Botanical Gardens, to mark the society’s 190th anniversary.
