A WOMAN was taken to hospital with smoke inhalation after fire broke out in her kitchen.

Firefighters were called to her home on Leicester Road, Dinnington, Rotherham at 7.30pm on Thursday.

Meanwhile in Sheffield crews were called to the same street twice within the space of 20 minutes to deal with bin fires started by arsonists.

They dealt with three bins alight on Exeter Drove, Broomhall, at 1.55am on Thursday, and were back to another part of the same street 20 minutes later.

Drugs arrest

A MAN was arrested on the Wensley estate in Grimesthorpe, Sheffield, on Thursday on suspicion of possessing Class A and B drugs. He was released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Shop burglary

POLICE investigating the burglary of a fashion shop in Firth Park, Sheffield, last month arrested a 22-year-old man on Tuesday. He has been released on bail.
