Student sleep-out

STUDENTS are staging a sleep-out in Sheffield tonight to raise awareness of the destitution thousands of asylum seekers face. Yorkshire MEP Linda McAvan is joining the event outside the Sheffield University students’ union.

Charity cupcake

BAKER Silvana’s at Andrews cake shop on Chapel Walk in Sheffield city centre has created a cupcake in aid of Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

Have a heart

A SALON’s charity event until 4pm today is raising cash for the British Heart Foundation. Revitalise on Barrow Road, near Meadowhall, is offering mini treatments, bingo, a raffle and refreshments.
