A JCB went up in flames in an arson attack on a waste management site on Albion Drive, Thurnscoe, Barnsley. The fire was discovered at 6.20pm on Sunday. A Ford Fiesta found burning on High Nook Road, Dinnington, Sheffield, had been set alight deliberately at 12.10am yesterday.

TWO boilers were stolen from a building site on Quarry Road, Bolsover, during a break-in.

They were stolen overnight on Thursday into Friday last week.

SWINGS were set alight in an arson attack on a South Yorkshire playground. Firefighters were called to deal with the incident at Foxhill Road, Birley Carr, Sheffield, at 9.30pm on Sunday.

FIREFIGHTERS spent two hours dealing with a blaze at a waste recycling plant on Grange Lane, Stairfoot, Barnsley. The incident at 12.30pm on Sunday has been logged as accidental.

FIRE crews were called out to Far Lane, East Dene, Rotherham, after a garden fence and decking went up in flames. The fire at 1pm on Sunday started accidentally.
