A SHEFFIELD Oxfam campaigner travelled to London to join an international protest to end land grabs from some of the world’s poorest people.

Amy Roberts, aged 30, from Highfield, took part in the launch of a new Oxfam campaign against the rush for land, which is pushing millions of small-scale farmers around the world off their land and into poverty.

Minister visits site

GOVERNMENT skills minister Matthew Hancock has visited engineering students at the Sheffield University Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre.

He met Alison Bettac, AMRC training director, and students to learn how the centre will equip young people with valuable skills and knowledge for future jobs in the manufacturing sector..
