RESIDENTS in Barnsley are being asked to give their views on the town’s library service.

RESIDENTS in Barnsley are being asked to give their views on the town’s library service.

A questionnaire has been sent to a random sample of residents, while anyone can give a response online at the Barnsley Council website.

Community and equality groups are also being contacted for their opinions.

Visit www.barnsley.gov.uk and click on ‘consultations’ to complete the survey.

‘Charity’ boutique

A NEW boutique on Ecclesall Road in Sheffield holds its official opening on April 24. Pure Urban sells stylish, comfortable, women’s clothes, and will stage a charity event for Amy’s House with champagne and then lunch in Nonna’s next door.

Open for care

CARE home Herries Lodge - which has its own hair salon - has opened on Teynham Road in Sheffield for 47 people with dementia. Guests at the official opening included the Lord Mayor of Sheffield, care workers, district nurses and social workers.

Hospice challenge

SILKSTONE Environmental staff are hitting the road for St Luke’s Hospice by running the Sheffield Half Marathon on May 27. Consultants Steve Matthews, Michael Swift and Daniel Senkans have joined friend Nick Bamber to take up the challenge.
